Topic: How much should I pay?

Hi Everyone,  

New to this board....lots of good info. thanks

My question is what should I (or what did you) pay for a new 04 wrx wagon 5spd. I know that Subaru is giving a discount of $2500.00 on all 04 imprezas just to clear them out (we're in mid-Nov. after all)...but how much should the dealer be able to discount the car?

Hey "D",

I spent some time working for a local Subie dealer in Ottawa.  I still have a good friend who works there and I'm sure he'll help you out on this matter.  As far as a discount is concerned it depends on the sales manager.  I've seen cars dropped real low just to get them sold and out the door.  That's the part of the sale that most people hate as it usually pits you against them.  If you want to arrange talking to my buddy please let me know.
