My Blazer has self-dimming mirrors on the driver's side and inside. The driver's side mirror has developed what can only be describe (poorly I might add) as a 'crack' in the material behind the glass. The area above the 'crack' no longer dims at night and the area below it is foggy. Turning the mirror heaters on has little effect on the fog and it cannot be wiped off.

Does anyone know anything about these things? I've searched the 'net and found nothing useful. Can it be fixed or should I hit the junk yard to replace it?

Or should I burn the truck to the ground now? I've just about had it with it...

Matches cost money so save the nickel. Hit one of the wreckers and replace it. If it burns then your Insurance Co. won't like you anymore and Raise your rates big time.

Point #1 - I hate self-dimming mirrors.

Point #2 - what Crolly and Black Grandma said.

Don't even go there! I went to the Mazda dealer today on the way out back to town after being gone all weekend. They had five in a row sitting there. It's starting to itch again....must....resist.....must......resist....

Ya better Stop Looking at that thing or you'll go blind there City. We realize its a great annoyance as you have put a bit of money into that vehicle in the last little bit. You really have no choice but to start calling the wreckers to-morrow. Let us know if you can find one. Might be able to locate in the London area if you can't find it.
