Radiator Flush
« on: November 12, 2004, 08:56:50 pm »
I am trying to flush my radiator in my '91 F-150 and can't seem to find the drainage valve. It's not on the bottom of the radiator like it should be... maybe I am missing something or can't see it :Þ

any info is greatly appreciated

Some of the older vehicles may not have a DrainValve for the rad like some of them now. Pull the bottom rad hose to dump the fluid if you have to as then you will get all of it for sure. This empties the block as well as the heater core if the engine is warmed up somewhat. It cleans it all out this way.

barrie1 is right, this 98 pontiac grand am wanted a rad flush, i had to slide the hose out which wasnt fun. whats worse was putting it back on. at the end, i felt good after putting everything back together because i didnt create a drain plug for the customer
The most wanted cars of my uber uber list
4th generation supra with twin turbo which is the most affordable/practical on the list
If i had all the money in the world, i would buy an army of Supras and crash them into the tree stumps
