Used BMW or Mini
« on: November 10, 2004, 11:01:11 am »
I want to purchase a used BMW.  However, I am new to European car and I am wondering if I have to fix the car every once a month in general.

Year that I am looking for could be 2000-2003, 325i 4 dr Auto will be great. I am driving a stick and I am tired of doing shifting in traffic.

Also, does anyone know the price that it's in the market?

I am driving a Honda civic and it's very reliable, no problem whatsoever, perhaps I baby my car too much!

I love the Mini, but it does have some quality issues.  The 325 is a safe bet.  Very nice car and the quality is good.  Of course, if you really wanted quality and the best bang for the buck,  you would buy a Honda Accord V6, but it doesn't have the BMW name...does it?

there is a school of thought, especially in the BMWCCA tech pages that automatics on 3 series are best left to other people. That they are just not reliable. As for the rest, the E46 3 series is a good car.
You should get a Certified servies one with a long warranty esp if you get the auto.

You can go www.bmw.ca and search for used BMW's.
Select the 3 series and you can pull up a list of every used 3 series in Canada if you wish.  Obviously there is a wide range in price depending on model and options.  If you have any interest, I am looking to sell my 2001 320iA (62K and fairly loaded)  I am in the market for a larger vehicle - Honda CR-V
