I am thinking of buying a 1996 Plymouth Voyuager and the guy wants 5000. for it. It has 170000 klics on it and it is a Rallye package with quad seating remote start and lock.  It has a 3.3 engine well maintained.  Do you think it would be an insult to offer 4200 for it

regards OPeter

A quick search on Auto Trader indicates that $4200-$5000 is the range. I would go for the low offer and see what happens….BTW welcome to CD.

Welcome to the forum Bakerone. I used to own a 94'. Ask the seller if the tranny has been changed. A 170k kms is a lot on an original 96' Plymouth tranny. Also check for rusted out rocker panels. (underneath) Ontario van? Snowman is right go for the low offer. It may be worth 5g's to the seller, but it's not to you. Good luck and let us know how it turns out eh?

Make sure the tranny and A/C work - those are the big problems on these.  The 3.3 V6 is a basic, pushrod engine with decent durability...watch for chronic waterpump failures every 140K

Thanks for all the info on these vans...........ended up picking up a 96 grand with 4 doors 3.3 certified e tested and very clean for 3500..  I think it will be a good van for running around in town and going to the Home depot.............I have a Intrepid with a 3.3 engine and it has been good  even though the water pump went on it.  Its an easy fix on the Intrepid

Yes Sterling. I always like to see the cars that people buy. Even if it isn't anything exotic.

Hello everyone . I bought a used Voyager latley as you know and I have side running boards on it (factory)on the front drivers side the piece from the fender to the running board is missing(1996)does anyone know where I might find something like that on the internet.  I have checked out a few wreckers in Toronto but have had no luck........any help would be great.
