2004 Honda Element
« on: November 02, 2004, 12:20:21 am »
Does anyone know the dealer cost for a 2004 Honda Element 5-spd Y-package or perhaps how much I could expect to go below MSRP on a Honda at this time of year?

It's MSRP is 25,800.

thanks ahead of time

I don't think they have been selling as well as Honda expected and that would mean being very inclined to want to offer a deal.

How much etc. - well EAX may still be lurking here and can help.

hmm I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that Honda sold MORE Elements than they predicted for the first year. I see quite a few of them around here in Gatineau/Ottawa. Not rare at all.

That was my understanding also - that Honda sold more Elements than first anticipated. Lot's of them around here. Wife's doctor has one as a second vehicle for family hauling. Not that bad really.

Only thing I don't about the Element are the seats... couldn't find a comfortable seating position in front, and rear seats are too low (my knees are way too high!) and my head brushes the ceiling... for some reason, the floor is higher at the back of the Element than the front. Other than that, I really like it. Its styling is different and I like that. Not sure how I'd like to drive it on highways on windy days though...

Gee, Shnak not being able to fit comfortably in the Element...big surprise there!    Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Any developments with your uncomfortable seat situation, Shnakky?

well the Element seats are comfortable enough, but it's the inclinaison of the seat itself that wasn't comfortable. It was too horizontal and you can't lower the rear part of the seat independantly from the front part. Anyways.

The seat in my Golf is great now. My back hurts once in a while (everywhere, not only in the car), but it's getting better with my chiro treatments.
