Well today the 1 year countdown begins.

In 14 days, I will have owned my S2000 for 1 full year.

But more importantly in 365 days I will have to return my S2000 and shop for a new car.  Or I will buyout my S.

Countdown starts now, 1 year left to ponder.....

Jamesbe;

Count down time... I guess the big question is how much fun do you have driving the S?? (I think most of us seem to know the answer being YES!)
From the sounds of things it may come down to what other topless car will give you such a bang for your buck...As you've noted before once you go topless you can't go back.  Enjoy you last year with her...
My prediction you will be either buy her out as you've done some nice mods already (skirt & wing) or you'll lease a new S2000..
All the best

Haha, yeah right now I'm toying with the idea of selling out this S and buying another in early '06 but I'm really not sure.  Be nice to have no car payments, so even getting a MS Miata would be cool (if only it didn't look so girlie).

My buyout is $25,400, after taxes that is $29k, currently if prices stay stable, that is a kick ass deal for an '01 S2000, I even be able to flip it for a few $$ in profit.

Sorry man….Saff…..can’t do it. Not into that Hillbilly Pop & Boogie. I would rather hear a dentist drill in my rear molar.

James….the answer is a C6.

Snowy, maybe ring-in to win 0% financing and a few other incentives and it might be a C6.

I don't think I want to spend more than $50k.

I can get a brand new S2000 south of the border for $40k all in right now, and if our dollar goes up more it will be even easier.

I thik you should buy out the car and keep it. You know it's history and you have no problems with it, and you can make a few bucks if you change your mind... Seems like a no-brainer to me!

James - 365 days is a hell of long time for a car nut?? You could be in a totally different head-space a year from now. Why rush a decision? You got a year to mull it over - what could be better?? A year to car shop - sound like nirvana to me. I would second the C6 suggestion tho.

But you’ve all just had a big brain fart
You think you're a genius-you drive me up the wall
You're a regular original, a know-it-all

Oh-oo-oh, you think you're special
Oh-oo-oh, you think you're something else

Anybody want to keep this going…?

Okay, so you're Safristi
That don't impress me much
So you got a brain but do you use a clutch?
Don't get me wrong, yeah I think you're alright
But that slush box will keep you crying at the green light
That don't impress me much
