Hi,

Curious to know what you all think of Mitsubishi's new warranty.

industry–leading new vehicle 10–year/160,000 Kilometres (km) Limited Powertrain Warranty, 5–year/100,000 km New Vehicle Limited Warranty and 5–year Unlimited Kilometre Roadside Assistance program.

I think Mitsu had to do something to boost sales which have been poor in this country. Mitsu's Auto Division is a world-wide money loser. Remains to be seen if this will help. But it sounds like a huge liability if their vehciles have a lot of problems.

Seriously and welcome Mobil!

I'd consider an EVO with that kind of warranty!

As would I.  Of course in the STates where they've got the Evo, it still ain't helping the cause much is it?  As Ovr said above, the sales are down globally.

Their entire CDN lineup is boring...Only the EVO could have sparked a bit of enthusiasm for Mitsu...

I guess we'll have to wait and see if they come out with that Next-Gen Hybrid Eclipse...

This is a last ditch effort from a manufacturer that does not have anything exciting in its lineup to get some sales.  I personally buy a car for the car, not for the warranty.

This is great for the consumer.  Mitsu has raised the bar and other will have to follow.  They are not the only company whose sales are hurting.

In the US, Suzuki already offers a 7 year 100K mile warranty.  Hell, I would consider buying a new car if it came with a 160K warranty on the powertrain for a decent price!
