No more free Black Book pricing?
« on: October 05, 2004, 01:24:15 pm »
Just checked the Chrysler and Toyota websites for black book prices.  Previously, they allowed you to calculate the trade-in value of your car for free.  Now both websites don't seem to offer this.  Either that, or they've moved the link to some obscure place...  Too bad.

I just checked.  Toyota, still has it on their Canadian website (www.toyota.ca) under "Vehicles" then "Appraise Your Trade-in" (bottom of the list).
"PC Load Letter...what the f_ck does that mean?"

Hi there

New to this forum but thought it would be a good place to ask this question.
How do I go about finding the 1992 black book value of a 1997 Infiniti QX4

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

????  "the 1992 black book value of a 1997 Infiniti QX4" ???

What do you mean?  You can easily get the current (September 2004) black book value of a 1997 Infiniti QX4.  I don't know of a way to get previous black book values, and obviously a 1992 book wouldn't have a 97 car.  Current black books only go back 10 years IIRC so a 92 won't be listed (that's some other colour book - grey I think)

Grey book covers 92-97, Black 98-2004 currently.

1997 QX4 ranges $10500 to $13500 rough to clean, which is virtually identical to the Pathfinder LE (Which is a virtually identical vehicle IIRC)

Nope.  Going back to 91 many cars' value will double depending on the reading of the fuel guage.

Dealers buy and use the book, not the general public and very few dealers are interested in vintage stock.

Details would be helpful.  What options does it have?  Mileage?
