Good time to buy a 2004?
« on: October 01, 2004, 02:14:45 pm »
Do you guys think it's a good time(better deals) to buy a 2004 model?

I'm going for the 2004 civic SE or DX-G.

Thanks

Yes...if you can still find one....the year end clear out will give some good deals as dealers will try to clear room for the 05.

I got an offer for a Civic "2004" LX automatic for 23000$ all included. I know I can bargain to 21000-21500 maybe. What do you guys think?

I was surprised they had some left.

Good idea if you drive your car for 6-7 years.  Bad idea if you trade before then.  It is already 1 year old and has lost more $$$ than incentives they are offering.  Keeping it for a long time will amortize this loss and eventuially turn it into a gain.  My $0.02

I plan to keep it for more than that if it doesn't create any problems. I sure hope I can get it around 21000$ or less

It's 2 years old before it leaves the lot and then it's a used car the minute he drives away. He better have got the thing for about 60% of original MSRP.

If he got a 'smokin' deal, then for sure you're right about the 60% of the MSRP.
