Turn into the spin ... no matter which axis you are spinning around! Watching the slo-mo replay, the driver always had the front wheels turned into the line - amazing concentration.

Amazing Concentrtion for sure but a Horse Shoe up his -ss as well. Probably had to toss his shorts after the race as well. The wheel finally dug in and he got a break, some Luck involved as well also.
