"Dog" nails? Don't know - show us the rest of your self-portrait, Safster.

Does remind me a bit of the transvesite in The Garden of Good and Evil, tho. The "Lady" something.

Lots of labor, Roadr. Is all one color, but fender flares, door side mouldings, deflector on hood, rear door emblems, etc. all had to be taken off. Also, damage was in a total of 6 different places. The other shop said "over $2k easy" but I didn't get a detailed quote from them. ICBC had no problem and since I was paying $300 regardless, I wanted it done right. I thought the price was about right given the numbers I've heard lately. Had a rear taillight assembly replaced and some paint work on rear door of a 2000 4Runner in 2001 and it was about $1300. I'm OK with it.

Do you have pictures before and after the repairs Ovr? I'd be really interested to see the extent of the damages, and the results of the repairs.

Sorry, didn't take any photos of the scratches. The results are that it looks brand new (but then it is only 8 months old anyway).

The scratches were down to the white underlay but not down to bare metal. They were too deep for just buffing out althought a few may have been buffed.

Awww.  Poor puppy.  He must have been really, really scared.  My parents' retriever cross destroyed a screen door not once, not twice, but THREE times during different thunderstorms, trying to get into the house a few hours BEFORE the actual storm hit.  She hated thunder.

Our black Lab Daisy doesn't scare easily, but she does have laserbeam-staring right down to a science when she's hungry.  You can feel her eyes boring holes in your skull when it's close to breakfast or dinner time.

Dogs are great.  But their brains are wired differently from ours, and they react in ways we don't understand, sometimes.

I'm sure you've learned some lessons here, Ovr.  Glad you still love your pup.

Brigitte

Ya, Bridge, Drake was pretty terrified; that's why I could never have reprimanded him. He was hiding under the RAV when I got there. The lesson I learned is not to take the truck to the edge of the open land; rather to walk, at least until thunderstorm and orchard "popper" season is over. That will about November, I figure.

He's really a very good dog, but you're right, wired different than us.
