Already on sale in Europe since 2009, the Fiesta joins Ford’s Canadian lineup for 2011.

Available as a four-door sedan or four-door hatchback, the Fiesta uses a 1.6-litre four-cylinder engine, mated to a five-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode.

Trim levels on the sedan are the S, SE and SEL; the hatchback is available in SE and SES trim.

Features on the S sedan include 15-inch steel wheels, power mirrors, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, split-folding rear seat, floor mats, AM/FM stereo, variable intermittent wipers, and knee airbag.

The SE sedan adds air conditioning, power windows with auto up/down, power door locks with keyless entry, illuminated entry, vanity mirrors, seatback storage pockets, chrome interior accents, CD/MP3 stereo, and system monitor.

The SE hatchback is similarly equipped, but adds a spoiler, cargo cover and rear wiper.

The SEL sedan adds 16-inch alloy wheels, heated mirrors with integrated turn signals, chrome side window mouldings, cruise control, auto-dimming rearview mirror, heated cloth seats, steering wheel-mounted audio controls, and SYNC.

The SES hatchback is similarly equipped, adding spoiler, cargo cover and rear wiper.

Depending on the model, available options include a power sunroof, leather upholstery and security system.
