The Caliber uses a 2.0-litre four-cylinder with five-speed manual transmission or optional CVT in the SE, SE Plus and SXT trim lines; the Uptown uses the 2.0-litre with CVT only. A 2.4-litre four-cylinder with five-speed manual or optional CVT is used in the Rush trim line. The 2.4-litre with CVT can be optioned in the Uptown.
Features on the SE include 15-inch steel wheels, rear spoiler, power windows, variable intermittent wipers, rear washer/wiper, cloth seats, 60/40 split-folding rear seat, and CD/MP3 stereo with auxiliary input.
The SE Plus adds 17-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, Chill Zone beverage storage, touring suspension, Sirius satellite radio, cruise control, chrome body side moulding and front and rear floor mats.
The SXT adds power locks with keyless entry, bright grille, body-colour door handles, fog lamps, illuminated entry, tachometer, heated seats, driver’s seat height adjuster, heated mirrors, auto-down windows, fold-flat front passenger seat, reclining rear seat, 115-volt power outlet, removable and rechargeable flashlight, and tonneau cover.
The Rush adds 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic temperature control, sport spoiler, bright exhaust tip, sport suspension, blacked-out B and C pillars, 6.5-inch touch-screen media centre with 30-GB hard drive, Boston Acoustic speakers with subwoofer, two articulating liftgate speakers, leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, six-way power driver’s seat, silver seat inserts, Sirius satellite radio, UConnect hands-free phone, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, and colour-keyed instrument panel inserts.
The Uptown builds on the SXT and adds automatic temperature control, leather seats, six-way power driver’s seat, leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, Sirius satellite radio, UConnect hands-free phone, USB port, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, Boston Acoustics speakers with subwoofer, and two articulating liftgate speakers.
