New concept is likely updated Cross Blue Concept
Volkswagen is bleeding money in the US right now. Without a compelling lineup of SUVs and crossovers compared to its competitors, the German brand is seeing sales go to other dealerships.
But, along with a planned seven-seat crossover planned to sit between the compact Tiguan and mid-size Touareg, it looks like Volkswagen is bringing another five-seat crossover to the mix and it will debut at the 2015 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
Automotive News reports that the five-seater is likely to be a derivative of the seven-seater, though Volkswagen wouldn’t offer further details.
Volkswagen is also rumoured to be considering a new premium midsize sedan to sit between the Passat and Phaeton, says AutoGuide. It could use the the MLB platform that underpins most Audi models and the Porsche Macan.
