Honda will also “reveal the design direction” for new Ridgeline
UPDATE: Honda Canada has announced the new Pilot will debut at the 2015 Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto at the same time as the Chicago Auto Show on February 12.
Honda U.S. has confirmed what we reported yesterday and officially announced the 2016 Pilot will make its debut at the 2015 Chicago Auto Show on February 12. The press release was accompanied by the above graphic showing the body lines of Honda’s new eight-passenger SUV.
A major design change is expected for Pilot. As the new CR-V has been strutting its new front fascia, one must wonder if the design of the Pilot will also go in the same direction. Honda promises Pilot will arrive with “new technology, advanced safety, class-leading fuel economy and enhanced family utility and versatility” when it goes on sale later this year.
Honda says they will also “reveal the design direction” for the new Ridgeline expected at the end of this year. What that exactly means is unclear for now. Also unclear are details on a passenger car to bring “more excitement” to Honda. Hopefully we will hear more soon.
Both Pilot and Ridgeline will be designed, developed and manufactured by Honda in the U.S.
