Two door model will likely be longer, lower, and wider than sedan

The next Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe is expected to debut a new design in Frankfurt that will significantly differentiate it from the sedan.

According to Auto Motor und Sport (via AutoGuide), the C-Class Coupe will be longer, lower, and wider than the sedan but be built on the same platform and use the same engines and transmissions.

In Canada, the C-Class Sedan is offered only in 4MATIC guise with a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder and 3.0L turbocharged V6, not including the forthcoming AMG models. Chances are the coupe will have one rear-wheel drive option outside of AMG models in Canada but we won’t know those details until after the reveal.

Expect the C-Class Coupe to go on sale in 2016 as a 2017 model.
