The Ferrari beater is back!
Ford is again taking a stab at the elusive supercar market with the reintroduction of the legendary Ford GT. The Blue Oval revealed the new car today at the North American International Auto Show along with a new Ford F-150 Raptor and Ford Mustang GT350R (to be posted later).
The new racer-gone-street will be powered by an EcoBoost powerplant. While specifics of the new engine were withheld, Ford did say it was a “a next-generation twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V6 producing more than 600 horsepower.” It’ll displace 3.5 litres.
Mark Fields stated at the press conference the new Ford GT will go into production next year. No racing program was announced.
