Chevrolet gives CES showgoers a sneak peak of second generation EV
General Motors just couldn’t wait for the North American International Auto Show in Detroit to show off their newest iteration Chevrolet Volt. The 2016 model made a limited appearance at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
Only the exterior of the new Volt was shown, sporting a face similar to the Honda Civic and Acura ILX. No other details were released.
The Volt will have a new 1.5L four-cylinder engine as a range extender as well as increased battery capacity with extended all-electric range.
The second-generation Chevrolet Volt will go on sale later this year, possibly alongside a new crossover-based EV, after making its full debut next week at NAIAS.
