Acura’s entry level compact luxury sedan is about to get a re-do
Honda’s luxury brand is heading to the Los Angeles Auto Show next month with a reworked version of their compact ILX model that Acura says is “substantially new”.
Expected to go on sale as a 2016 model, Acura promises the new ILX will provide a “sharper performance focus while delivering a greater set of high-value comfort, convenience, and safety features that customers desire.”
While Acura does toot its own horn by saying the ILX brings in more under 35 buyers than any other entry-premium model, it isn’t flying off the lots. After canning the ILX Hybrid in the US, Acura must bring its ‘A game’ to Los Angeles to stay relevant.
We will have more information late next month.
