Drop-top RC will begin slow reveal on November 16

When Lexus brought out the new IS, a remnant of the previous generation car remained in the IS C. That’s about to change.

Lexus will debut the LF-C2 convertible concept in Los Angeles next week after a slow reveal of the car between November 16 through 19.

The concept, which may be a concept in name only, is widely expected to be the replacement of the aging IS C and likely to take the RC C or RC Convertible moniker when it heads to production.

With the RC currently in production, expect Lexus to have a quick turn around on this model, as soon as the end of 2015 for the 2016 model year.

The slow reveal, which Lexus calls a ’72 hour eclipse’, can be found at the Lexus International website.
