Leaked images show exterior styling of refreshed Mazda6 stays largely the same

If you didn’t know any better, you’d think Los Angeles is Mazda’s first home with all the debuts they’re planning for the auto show this month. And now we have a little more information on one of the planned reveals — the refreshed Mazda6.

A poster on Worldscoop has published what looks like images of a sales handbook for the 2016 Mazda Atenza, the name of the Mazda6 in its home market of Japan. The images show off an ever-so-slightly revised grille on the exterior with stronger brightwork at the corners of the grille. But, as they say, it’s what’s inside that counts.

The refreshed 6’er looks to adopt the same infotainment system and control knob as the Mazda3, a welcomed upgrade from the current 5.8-inch display in the current generation car. Also, Mazda’s mid-size sedan appears to have an updated instrument cluster going into 2016.

The Japanese manufacturer is also expected to take the wraps off the highly-rumoured CX-3 small SUV, based on the Mazda2, along with an updated version of the CX-5.

We will have full details from the Los Angeles Auto Show in two weeks.
