Oh, and it’s a hybrid, too!
Lamborghini has just entered the already-brewing battle between Ferrari, McLaren, and Porsche. The car you see above is the new Asterion LPI 910-4 — a 910 horsepower, all-wheel drive monster that relies on a 5.2-litre V10 engine and three electric motors.
It’s not just a hybrid, but a plug-in electric hybrid, and it’s able to drive up to 50 km on electricity alone. This is also the first Lamborghini to be driven by something other than gasoline (unless you count tractors, but that would be dumb).
Lamborghini says the Asterion — which is a mythical minotaur, half man and half bull — is a concept, but it will likely spawn a production model good for a sprint to 100 km/h in 3.0 seconds and top speed of 320 km/h.
