New model to receive 315 hp 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo mill
Announced just a couple of weeks ago, Kia plans to finally add a sports car to their mix of mostly plebeian models. We now know it will be called GT4 Stinger and it will send power to the rear wheels as it should.
Initially speculated to be either a Hyundai Veloster twin or Subaru BRZ/Scion FR-S competitor, the GT4 Stinger will be powered by a turbocharged four-cylinder – presumably a reworked unit based on the four-cylinder in the Genesis Coupe – producing 315 hp with 2.0-litres of displacement.
LED headlights and 20-inch wheels will complete the package. But, other than those few details, we don’t know much yet about the new excitement from Korea. We’ll have to wait for the official reveal later this month in Detroit.
