New diesel and design enhancements bring Jetta into 2015
Since the introduction of the latest generation Jetta, Volkswagen has been listening to their customer base and slowly making measurable improvements every year. For 2015, they are a bit more significant, though it doesn’t seem much on the surface.
Design wise, the new Jetta receives lightly revised front and rear fascias and some minor interior changes. The 2015 model also gets a bevy of new safety equipment to bring it in line with competitors – such as blind spot detection, frontal collision warning, and park distance control.
However, the biggest item is the inclusion of a new 2.0-litre TDI four-cylinder engine, improving efficiency by some eight percent. The new motor pumps out 150 hp and 236 lb-ft of torque between 1750 and 3000 rpm.
