Teaser image gives glimpse of new subcompact hatchback

Honda has been quite successful with their subcompact model since its introduction in North America in 2006. Now the Japanese company looks to be going the way of the Nissan Versa Note with the Fit, making it rounder than the current generation car.

The Fit has already been released in Japan with a complement of three different powertrains. In North America, we will probably get just one – a 1.5L four-cylinder powerplant. Additional 1.3L and hybrid drivelines are available across the Pacific.

Set to debut at the Detroit Auto Show next month, the Fit will more than likely go on sale later in Q4 spring 2014. Units destined for sale in Canada and the US will be produced in Mexico.
