CHANGES FOR 2013:
- All-new model.
Until a future, rear-wheel-drive sedan shows up, Cadillac is calling its XTS the brand’s “flagship” model. Effectively a replacement for the outgoing DTS, the XTS four-door sedan arrives with bolder styling, front- or all-wheel drive and Cadillac’s new CUE customizable user interface. The only powertrain is a 304-hp version of the 3.6L V6 (also found in other Cadillacs) mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. Magnetic Ride Control, rear air springs, HiPer Strut front suspension and Brembo front brakes are standard kit. Based on the same platform as the Buick Lacrosse, Cadillac boasts the XTS has more rear legroom than an Audi A6, BMW 5 Series or Mercedes-Benz E-Class – and has more trunk space, too.
Standard features include airbags (front, front seat, driver/front passenger knee, side curtain, rear seat-mounted outboard), OnStar, content theft alarm, electronic immobilizer, Brembo four wheel disc brakes with ABS, front-wheel drive, dual exhaust with hidden outlets, Magnetic Ride Control, steering wheel mounted manual shift control, vehicle starter remote, chrome grille with piano black accents, automatic headlights, fog lights, HID headlights, LED taillights, body colour power folding heated mirrors with integrated turn signals and driver side auto-dimming feature, rear parking assist, 19-inch aluminum wheels with chrome inserts, power glovebox release, automatic dual-zone climate control, windshield humidity sensor with auto defog, cruise control, driver information centre, reconfigurable 4.2-inch LCD display, TPMS, automatic power locks, E-Z Key passive entry system, push button start, auto-dimming rear view mirror, steering wheel mounted audio/cruise/OnStar/Bluetooth controls, leather-wrapped steering wheel with wood insert, power tilt/telescopic steering, universal home remote, power windows with auto-up/down, 10-way power front seats, leather seating surfaces, heated and ventilated front seats, 60/40 split-folding rear seat, 8-speaker Bose AM/FM/CD/MP3 audio with Cadillac CUE and motorized flip-up/down 8-inch touch screen, hidden instrument panel storage area, satellite radio, USB port, and auxiliary input.
