The GT, GT Speed, GTC and GTC Speed can also be customized with the new Series 51 option, which allows buyers to choose from an exclusive range of exterior and interior styling cues, including special seat upholstery and piping, Series 51 sill plates, dark or bright aluminum trim, and a special, limited-edition Amboyna veneer unique to Series 51. Exterior styling options include 20-inch, 15-spoke wheels, signature badge, and two-tone paint.
Other Continental changes for 2010 include new wheel designs, contrasting stitching on floor mats and seats, an iPod interface, and new exterior mirror designs.
The Continental is available as the Supersports sedan; Flying Spur sedan; Flying Spur Speed sedan; GT and GT Speed coupe; and GTC and GTC Speed convertible. All use a 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged W12 that makes 552 horsepower in the regular models, 600 horsepower in the Speed models, and 621 horsepower in the Supersports, where it is also flexible-fuel for ethanol use. All models use a six-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode, and all are all-wheel drive.
Features on the GT, GTC and Flying Spur models include 19-inch wheels, bi-xenon headlamps with washers, tire pressure monitoring system, power-folding heated mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, full premium leather interior with matching carpets and seatbelts, DVD satellite navigation, six-CD stereo with Sirius satellite radio, Bluetooth connectivity, heated massaging seats, multi-zone climate control, multifunction steering wheel, garage door opener, and rearview camera.
The GT Speed and Flying Spur Speed add 20-inch wheels.
The Supersports adds carbon ceramic brakes, unique dark-smoked steel finish trim, carbon fibre and Alcantara seats, and wider rear wheel flares.
All models are further optioned with a variety of features customized to the owner’s preference.
