Pretty in pink, but beautiful in blue
Okay, maybe a Volvo wouldn’t be all that pretty in pink.
This shade of blue used on R-Design models in the range, shown on the all new XC90, is absolutely stellar.
The smurfy Polestar shade seen in production sports a very high gloss while this paint on the XC90 R-Design show car leaves about half its gloss in Sweden, preferring a satin finish.
“Finally,” said everyone…
“…they are actually going to build it.”
Acura has been teasing the NSX longer than Britta teased Jeff on Community [Or longer than Mulder and Scully kept their hands off each other. -Andy]. But, it’s finally here, and it will be a real car that you can buy later this year.
Honestly, I am happy we will get it, but I’m done talking about the NSX.
“Finally,” said nobody…
“…I was really looking for a BMW X6 M but Mercedes-AMG is my jam.”
Selling out through brand dilution isn’t an issue anymore with the Germans. If they can find at least 10 people to buy a car in a weird niche, they will build it. And because those 10 people are trend setters at their local golf club/kid’s play date/private key party events, Mercedes will sell a hell of a lot of them.
The Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 Coupe is an abomination (though I am sure it drives and performs wonderfully).
On the other end of the spectrum, the Mercedes-Benz C 450 AMG slotting between the current C 400 and upcoming C 63 AMG is cutting it pretty close on the brand dilution litmus test, but I can deal with it as it makes the AMG brand more accessible (I’m sure Jonathan will disagree wholeheartedly.)
