Yokohama to sponsor Canadians at X Games

Coquitlam, British Columbia – Yokohama Tires (Canada) Inc. has announced sponsorship for the two top competitors that will represent Canada at the X Games in Los Angeles. The 13th annual X Games features athletes from across the globe competing in BMX Freestyle, Moto X, skateboarding, surfing and rally.

Yokohama will provide tires, sponsorship and other support for reigning Canadian Rally Champion and current series leader Antoine L’Estage and co-driver Nathalie Richard, and the team of Andrew Comrie-Picard and Marc Goldfarb.

Created for television, the X Games has a cult following in the U.S. and elsewhere. The rally segment will include elimination racing on a closed dirt and pavement course that goes around and through the Home Depot Center in Los Angeles, and includes a 21-metre jump where competitors leap over each other. The finals will be held on Sunday, August 5th and will be broadcast live on ABC.
