XM Canada claims number-one spot in auto factory installations

Toronto, Ontario – XM Canada satellite radio has announced that, collectively, its automotive partners represent over 60 per cent of the new vehicles being sold in Canada, and that 115 different models will offer XM radios in model-year 2007.

In Canada, XM has partnered with General Motors, Honda/Acura, Nissan/Infiniti, Toyota/Lexus, Subaru, Suzuki, Hyundai, and Harley-Davidson. XM says that a recent highlight was the October announcement that General Motors reported more than 100,000 vehicles with factory-installed XM radios were ordered in less than a year, with more than 50,000 already sold to customers. As of today, GM has sold more than 65,000 vehicles with factory-installed XM Canada radios, out of 125,000 vehicle orders.
