Winnipeg team wins third annual National Lube Rodeo

Toronto, ON – Winnipeg, Manitoba Wal-Mart team members claimed victory yesterday in Brampton Ontario at the third annual National Lube Rodeo Championship. Team “Jackson” will represent Canada On September 16th when they fly to Bentonville, Arkansas to compete against the top 17 U.S. teams at the North American Lube Rodeo Finals.

Each team consisted of four team members and one team leader. Team members competed head-to-head on lube, oil-change, and other car-care skills and procedures. Each team was timed and judged on proper procedure and manner.
The competition brought together twelve teams from all over Canada – Sainte-Foy, Quebec; Pickering, Ontario; North Vancouver, British Columbia; Beauport, Quebec; Barrie, Ontario; Okotoks, Alberta; Pembrooke, Ontario; Windsor, Ontario; Winnipeg, Manitoba; Jonquiere, Quebec; Sudbury, Ontario and Prince George, British Columbia.
Over $10,000 was raised at the event in support of the Children’s Miracle Network thanks to Wal-Mart, Pennzoil-Quaker State, Rain-X, Energizer, C’Plus, Goodyear, Armor All, G&K Services, Frito-Lay, Steelman Tools and ADG Forward.
