The North Carolina forest is home to this DMC-12 and the object of mystery for a Fiero forum.

This DeLorean DMC-12 has been living in the North Carolina wood for at least four years. It’s an object of mystery for a Fiero forum, its members having tried multiple times to contact the owner of the land and the car itself to resurrect the stainless steel white-powder time machine.

Affixed to this particular DMC-12 is what looks to be a California yellow-on-blue plate from 1980-1981. How the car made its way from the west coast to North Carolina is anyone’s guess. Even more of a mystery, how did it end up in the woods and why was it left behind?

The car looks to be in relatively good condition and could possibly be restored. Though no amount of work is going to save its turdtastic PRV V6 – when new the engine only made around 130 hp in US-spec.

What would you do if you found a DeLorean in the woods? Or any serviceable, historical car for that matter? Let us know in the comments.
