Walter P. Chrysler Museum to sponsor excursion prior to car show

Ypsilanti, Michigan – In recognition of the Ypsilanti Orphan Car Show, the Walter P. Chrysler Museum will sponsor a pre-show car excursion on Saturday, June 3 from 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Michigan. The event features a four-stop daytime tour, followed by a nighttime reception, and is open to auto enthusiasts with vehicles of all makes and models.

The Ypsilanti Orphan Show will run Sunday, June 4 and is open to “orphan” vehicles – those made by manufacturers no longer in business, such as Studebaker, Kaiser, Nash and Packard.

The pre-show excursion will visit the Ypsilanti Automotive Heritage Museum; Rivertech, a former manufacturing plant that now houses 75 collector cars; the Weaver Collection, a private vintage auto collection, and Yesterday’s Collection in Ann Arbor.

The pre-show excursion is US$40 per person for the full event, US$25 per person for the daytime tour only, and US$25 per person for the evening reception only. To register, call 734-482-5200 or email hudsondealer@ypsiautoheritage.org.
