Auburn Hills, Michigan – The Walter P. Chrysler Museum will be running a special exhibit, “Hot Rods and Cool Mods”, from October 8, 2005 until August 20, 2006. It will kick off with a free public exhibition next Saturday, including the installation of a new 5.7-litre Hemi engine into a 1966 Dodge Charger.
The exhibit will span more than seventy years of modified Mopar vehicles, and will include a 1932 Chrysler coupe, 1932 DeSoto with Hemi engine, the High and Mighty Ramcharger drag car replica, a George Barris-designed 1969 AMC AMX, a 2001 PT Cruiser panel concept, and a 2005 “blinged” Chrysler 300. The Museum is located within DaimlerChrysler’s Auburn Hills complex.
