VW to unveil Golf BlueMotion diesel model at Frankfurt auto show

Wolfsburg, Germany – Volkswagen will unveil the new Golf BlueMotion at the upcoming International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt in Germany, announced the company.

The new Golf BlueMotion offers a combined fuel economy rating of just 4.5 litres per 100 kilometers (63 mpg Imperial), and CO2 emissions have been reduced from 135 g/km to 119 g/km compared to the previous Golf 1.9 TDI. The Golf Bluemotion has a range of 1,200 kilometres on one tank of fuel (55 litres). It’s scheduled to go on sale in Germany at the end of 2007 – Canadian availability has not been announced.
