Volvo sales set March record

Toronto, Ontario – Improved sales for every product line helped Volvo Cars of Canada Ltd. set a new record for March, the company has announced. Much of it is attributed to a spike in sales of the S60 sports sedan and a substantial increase in sales of the XC90 SUV.

The company delivered 1,312 new units in March, a 10 per cent improvement over the 1,193 sold in 2004. The March figures helped propel sales of the first three months of 2005 to 2,578, up six per cent over the 2,433 vehicles sold in the first quarter of 2004.
