Berlin, Germany – Volkswagen has presented the world premiere of its Iroc concept vehicle, which it calls “reinterpretation” of the Scirocco that it unveiled 33 years ago in Geneva.
The Iroc sportscar features an extremely long roof and comparatively steep rear end, seating for four with space for luggage, and “Viper Green” metallic paint, in homage to a shade used on the first-generation Scirocco; the 210 hp engine is twin-turbocharged and uses Volkswagen’s DSG direct shift gearbox. The roof contains a dark tinted glass panel supported by a carbon-covered structure, and the car rides on 19-inch light-alloy rims.
