Volkswagen defers payments for Katrina victims
Auburn Hills, Michigan – Responding to the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, Volkswagen Credit, Audi Financial Services and Bentley Financial Services have announced that they will defer payments, forego late charges and suspend interest for customers affected by the disaster. Customers living in areas that have been declared disaster areas will have their retail loans automatically extended and lease payments deferred for ninety days.
Ford, which had previously announced a sixty-day reprieve on payments, has also made an announcement that it has extended the period to ninety days.
