Volkswagen announces Eos pricing
2007 Volkswagen Eos
Ajax, Ontario – Volkswagen has announced that the all-new 2007 Eos hardtop convertible, which debuted in Canada at the 2006 Montreal Auto Show, will carry a base price of $36,900 when it goes on sale later this Summer.
Standard features will include an advanced ABS braking system, traction control, electronic stability program, front head and thorax airbags, 17-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, cruise control, power windows, front heated seats and washer nozzles, fog lights, anti-theft alarm, LED taillights, and fully power-operated folding roof with integrated glass sunroof. It will be built in Setubal, Portugal.
The company says the Eos is the world’s first car to offer a folding hardtop roof with integrated sunroof; the top takes 25 seconds to fully open or close. Power is from a 200-hp 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, mated to a standard six-speed manual transmission or optional six-speed Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG) automatic transmission with Tiptronic manual mode.
