Stuttgart, Germany – A 1973 Porsche 911 T coupe will be going home with a new owner when it is raffled off at the Porsche Parade in Savannah, Georgia. Organized by the Porsche Club of America (PCA), the festival week runs from July 31 to August 7, 2011.

At the event, the car will be raffled off among PCA members. The U.S.-market car was restored to its former glory by Porsche Classic in Stuttgart, where it was originally produced. While PCA normally raffles off a new car at its event, the club decided to offer a classic car in cooperation with Porsche Club Service and Porsche Classic. The car was found near Los Angeles and presented in its “rather pitiful condition” to club members at the Porsche Parade 2010 in St. Charles, Illinois. It was then sent to Germany for its restoration.

The car’s progress was detailed in photos and videos on a special Porsche Web site. To view it, visit Porsche Classic.
