Dearborn, Michigan – Thousands of images dating to Ford’s earliest years are now available for sale online. The images, available on paper, canvas or framed, are now being taken out of the Ford archives and licensed for sale for the first time.
More than 5,000 photos are already available at Ford Images, including commemorative and limited-edition prints, vintage signs and advertisements. Hundreds more are being added each week, with another 5,000 to be available by the end of 2011.
The company said that there are millions of photos, contained in approximately 16,000 boxes, 75 file cabinets and hundreds of CDs at Ford Archives in Dearborn, Michigan. The images, including portraits and photographs from press releases, events, factories, motorsports and product development, are being scanned into digital versions for the site. Prices begin at US$24.99, with shipping available to Canada.
