Acura takes their NSX prototype out for a track trot. After all the Instagram video and other social foolishness, they finally made a normal YouTube flick.
The new NSX is getting closer and closer to being an actual thing you can buy. The modern iteration of Honda’s mid-engined sports car will be sporting a hybrid powertrain. But, if the sound from the video above is true and not foley fallacy, this will not be a car for the greenies. A lumpy burble does not a Prius replacement make.
A new 3.0L EarthDreams V6 is expected to provide the majority of motivation for the new sports car, a byproduct of the canceled V10 NSX project which created a modular engine architecture. The new NSX is expected to arrive sometime next year as a 2015 model.
