Vancouver’s auto show to be held April 6th to 13th
Vancouver, B.C. – The Pacific International Auto and Light Truck Show in Vancouver will run a week later than usual this year to avoid the Easter weekend at the end of March. The eight day auto show runs from Saturday April 6th through Saturday April 13th and will be open daily from Noon to 10 pm except Sunday when it will open from Noon to 6 pm.
As in previous years, the show will be held in B.C. Place Stadium near downtown Vancouver. The balloon-roofed stadium has over 250,000 square feet of show space including the main show floor and a circular mezzanine level.
In addition to vehicle displays from all the major manufacturers, there will be more than $100,000 in prizes to be won, including a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon from Hyundai Auto Canada, a luxury Las Vegas holiday for two, and daily prizes of Automotive CD Players from A&B Sound. “We are also getting involved in the communities again this year with our Metal and Imagination contest, which offers $10,000 in prize money to seven high schools across the Lower Mainland,” said Morgan. Students from the schools vie to see which school can create the most imaginative paint job for a new Volkswagen automobile.
Members of the BC Lions football team will be on hand to sign autographs, and Molson Indy race representatives will be running a pit stop challenge for the opportunity to win Gold class tickets to the race. Auto show information will be available on the internet at www.carclickbc.com as of March 22nd.
B.C. Place Stadium is located at 777 Pacific Blvd, Vancouver. Show visitors should enter B.C. Place Stadium via Gate A on the Terry Fox Plaza.
