Vancouver, British Columbia – The 2011 Vancouver International Auto Show opens to the public today for six days at the Vancouver Convention Centre, with electric vehicles at the forefront of this year’s event.
Several manufacturers are showcasing their latest production-ready electric models, and BC Hydro has a display that will educate visitors on electric vehicle technology and how it will be integrated within the current infrastructure.
The show includes manufacturer showcases, special-feature vehicles and the latest products and accessories. The Dream Car Lottery returns for a second year, with a chance to win a Mercedes-Benz SL550 convertible valued at over $145,000, with proceeds going to help charities across the province including Special Olympics BC.
The show is presented by the New Car Dealers Association of BC and runs from Tuesday, March 29 to Sunday, April 3.
Tuesday to Friday – Noon to 10 p.m.
Saturday – 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Sunday – 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Admission (HST included, rates subject to change):
General admission – $15.00
Seniors/students – $10.00
Children 7 to 12 – $4.00 (when accompanied by an adult)
Children 6 and under – Free (when accompanied by an adult)
Family pass (2 adults and 2 children 12 and under) – $30.00
Multi-day pass – $25.00 (good for any two days)
