U.S. vehicle sales down eight per cent

Westlake Village, California – New vehicle retail sales in the U.S. have declined eight per cent in the first 12 days of February when compared to 2005 figures, according to J.D. Power & Associates’ Power Information Network (PIN). The results are derived from actual retail transaction data and do not include fleet sales.

American Honda was the only manufacturer to experience a retail sales gain, up four per cent. General Motors and Toyota both declined by one per cent, while Nissan decreased by seven per cent.
