U.S.$2.1 million paid for Mercedes SLR

New York, New York – A former Ford model and New York businesswoman Juliana Terian paid U.S.$2.1 million for a Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren at a Christie’s charity fund raiser on Monday.

The funds raised will be donated to developing sports programs around the world for children through the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation. The Laureus WORLD SPORTS ACADEMY consists of 41 athletes including Boris Becker, John Mcenroe, Edwin Moses and Tony Hawk who volunteer their time and effort to the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation. The Laureus Sport for Good Foundation was set up to fund and promote the use of sport as a tool for social change.
