Two hybrids, truck concept and new GS for Toyota, Lexus

Torrance, California – Toyota announced it will debut a Highlander gas-electric hybrid midsize sport utility vehicle (SUV) and an all new full-size pick-up truck concept at a press conference at the 2004 North American International Auto Show in Detroit on Sunday, January 4th.

The Highlander hybrid will join the Prius sedan as the second vehicle in the Toyota lineup to feature a gas-electric powertrain. The Highlander hybrid will go on sale in late 2004. The new full-size pick-up concept will offer a glimpse into the future direction of Toyota trucks.

The world premiere of the third-generation GS series luxury sport sedan will take place at a press conference at the 2004 North American International Auto Show in Detroit on Tuesday, January 6th, announced the company. The new, more powerful GS will feature advanced technology and offer a glimpse of a new direction in Lexus styling.

Lexus will also unveil its hybrid version of the RX 330 luxury SUV.
