Goteborg, Sweden – A special “tuner” edition of the Volvo C30 by Heico Sportiv will be unveiled at SEMA, the world’s largest automotive aftermarket trade show, in Las Vegas in late October. The C30 has a special surf-pattern design and body kit with widened skirts, while its upgraded turbocharged engine produces 300 hp.
“We wanted to turn up the ‘visual volume’ of the sporty Volvo C30,” says Holger Hedtke, president of German tuning and motorsports company Heico Sportiv. “And this is not just a one-off prototype. All the parts used are available in our tuning product range.”
Features on the Volvo include integrated spoiler flaps, integrated fog and cornering lights, stainless steel quad-pipe exhaust system, and special orange leather interior.
The upgraded engine propels the car from zero to 96 km/h in 5.4 seconds, with a governed top speed of 250 km/h; chassis modifications include new shocks and springs that lower it by 40 mm, along with sport brake system, 19-inch wheels and Continental tires.
