Ottawa, Ontario – Transport Canada has issued its latest recalls, which may affect some Volvo, Honda and Toyota vehicles, and some Fleetwood and Tiffin motorhomes.

2010-2011 Volvo XC90
Vehicles affected: 135
On certain vehicles equipped with a V8 engine, a power steering line may develop a leak at the connection to the steering gear valve housing, which could cause a loss of power steering assist. Dealers will replace the power steering gear housing oil lines.

2012 Honda Civic
Vehicles affected: 339
On certain vehicles, an incorrectly-manufactured fuel supply line could allow a fuel leak to develop. Dealers will replace the fuel supply line.

2011 Fleetwood Bounder
2011 Fleetwood Bounder Classic
2011 Fleetwood Southwind
2011 Fleetwood Storm
2011 Fleetwood Terra
Vehicles affected: 102
On certain motorhomes, a wire harness mounted under the vehicle may contact the right exhaust manifold heat shield. Should the harness be damaged, it could result in an electrical short, which could cause intermittent operation of the electrical systems, vehicle shutdown, and/or a fire. Dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the wiring harness. In addition, the harness will be rerouted to ensure sufficient clearance to the heat shield.

2012 Volvo S60
Vehicles affected: 402
On certain vehicles, the fuel system software may not be compatible with the fuel pump assembly. Insufficient fuel transfer could cause engine hesitation or stalling. Dealers will update the engine control module software.

2001-2003 Toyota Prius
Vehicles affected: 940
On certain vehicles, the nuts securing the pinion shaft inside the steering gear box may not have been adequately tightened. If the steering wheel is repeatedly and strongly turned to the full lock position, the nuts could loosen, allowing the pinion shaft to become unstable. This could cause a loss of power steering assist when making a left turn. Dealers will replace both pinion shaft nuts with improved versions.

2011 Toyota Venza
Vehicles affected: 1
On this AWD vehicle, the front right driveshaft may not have been adequately heat-treated during the manufacturing process, and could break. The dealer will inspect and, if necessary, replace the driveshaft.

2007, 2008, 2010 Tiffin Allegro
2006-2010 Tiffin Allegro Bay

On certain motorhomes, the stop lamps may operate intermittently during light braking applications. Dealers will replace the hydraulic brake light switch assembly.
